This is a varied role offering responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients, including groups, with the opportunity to work closely with clients and develop beyond the preparation of accounts into a more advisory-focused position.

Accounts Senior – About The Role
Working with a varied portfolio of clients, including groups, you will take responsibility for preparing and reviewing accounts while developing strong relationships with the businesses you work with.
The role goes beyond simply producing accounts. You will work closely with clients to understand their businesses, answer queries, provide guidance and identify opportunities to add value. As you develop, you will take increasing responsibility for more complex accounts and the review of work completed by junior team members. Key responsibilities:
• Reviewing statutory and year-end accounts prepared by junior team members
• Preparing more complex accounts in accordance with FRS 102, including group accounts
• Reviewing working papers and providing guidance to junior team members
• Preparing draft corporation tax computations
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Advising clients on accounting matters and supporting their wider requirements
• Working closely with Managers and Partners on complex assignments
The successful Accounts Senior will have:
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification
• Previous UK accountancy practice experience
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing accounts under FRS 102
• Experience reviewing work completed by junior team members
• Experience preparing corporation tax computations
• Strong technical accounts knowledge
• Experience working with a varied portfolio of clients
• Exposure to group accounts would be advantageous
• Experience with deferred tax would be beneficial
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident using accountancy software, ideally including CCH
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
• An interest in providing advice and adding value beyond compliance work
• Keen to develop their career within a growing practice
