Financial Reporting Analyst - About the Role
As the Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for producing, validating, and submitting MI data and reports from multiple systems and sources. Working closely with the Finance Team and regional business units, you will ensure all financial and performance data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering all MI data and stakeholder reporting in line with published timetables.
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
- Extracting, validating, and cleansing MI data from CRM, finance systems, and Excel files.
- Producing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and year-end MI data files.
- Creating performance reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Fund) and presentations, including analytical commentary.
- Supporting the Head of FP&A in embedding and publishing Power BI dashboards across the organisation.
- Developing and automating MI reports to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensuring robust internal controls over data collection and reporting accuracy.
- Performing SQL data mining and manipulation.
- Acting as the key contact for all reporting and audit information requests.
Financial Reporting Analyst – Key Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a data-focused role producing MI, reporting packs, and dashboards with strong validation controls.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI / Power Pivot skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
